Imaging a Bain Capital takeover.
Re: "What do you make of this Ryan character?" Well, Ryan's budgets are almost as toxic to Medicare recipients and Social Security beneficiaries as Romney's secretly videotaped remarks. Ryan's across-the-board cuts would teach the 47% of "dependent," "entitled," "irresponsible" "victims" to "take personal responsibility and care for their lives." The Ryan-Akin connection could widen the gender gap. Ryan's penchant for speaking untruth would keep fact-checkers off the unemployment lines. Has Ryan alienated any allies? Has he advocated unilateral pre-emptive global interventionism?
TAKE 2: Good reiteration of the Bain method, William Oremus. One Bain principle that you omitted: Incentives should be aligned with performance by accepting equity in lieu of fixed fees. Was the omission deliberate, or does "accepting equity in lieu of fixed fees" sound too much like crony capitalism? In other words, with what equity promises have Super Pac billionaires been incentivized?
It would be a better question to ask what would Bain Capital do to fix America. It is easy to identify many thing that could be done right off the top of your head. Then, the point is, Mitt Romney knows those things that Bain knows and could implement them. Obama's profession was community organizer and we have seen what he has done to America.

Then, the point is, Mitt Romney knows those things that Bain knows and could implement them. _____________So you want Romney to load up the country with more debt, outsource more jobs and extract fees for the pleasure of Bain's expertise? You should really figure out how venture capitalism actually works. Romney was not a job creator, he was a debt creator. He created wealth for Bain and shareholders and that doesn't have anything to do with creating jobs. The two concepts are mutually exclusive.
