How soon will it be before the DNR allows you to hunt at the zoo?
I used to loathe zoos as a child, I felt bad for the animals cooped up. Zoos have gotten better, however, and I'm glad they are working on conservation of rare species. What cute little cubs!!!
'How soon will it be before the DNR allows you to hunt at the zoo?" - It depends on what commercial interests pulling strings in our elected offices have in mind.
An interesting addition to this article would be to cover how many amur leopards are in captivity around the world. I would imagine some could be exotic pets, but at least the number from zoos and sanctuaries. Love these two little cubs.
From Wiki: As of December 2011, there are 176 captive Amur leopards in zoos worldwide.
Thankfully there are conservation efforts for endangered species. Too bad the vast majority of them will go extinct due to human influence.
Aw, fer cute!
