Great win tonight. Way to overcome a man on third with no one out in bottom of the 10th.

Miggy. Jeter. Mauer. You're talking two certain Hall of Famers and a very likely one. 20 years from now it could be recalled as a great batting race.

It should be obvious that Plouffe is anything but a sure thing at third...let the competition begin.

Twins have 14 games remaining. They need to win 2 out of the next 14 to avoid 100 losses. Twins have The Clevelands, El Tigres, Yankees and The Blue Jays to finish the season. Think they can do it? Win 2? Win just 2? Anyone?

Better late than never, I guess.

Upon thoughtful consideration, I think "our" Twins will finish 65-97. Pretty woeful considering the payroll and the roster. Pohlads happy [they got their $$$]. Twins management not [they look like fools. AND they are]. Next season? Let's hope for a >90 loss season. Baby steps at this point. World Sereis title? Mauer's grand kids maybe.......

Kind of nice to hear Mauer say he wants to win a batting title instead of spouting his usual repertoire of bland cliches. Show some spark, kid! Go get it!

Kudos to the Cleveland fans who stayed until the bitter end.

Questionable to start with, all five starters disappeared, including Pavano, Baker and Liriano, who had a lights-out spring, along with Nick Blackburn.

Mauer should be concentrating on the the batting title. There isn't anything else to play for. The team ought to make him available for every possible at bat.
