Is it possible to file suit against these two "conservation" groups for wasting taxpayer money by filing frivolous lawsuits.

The groups have no standing as there was a law passed. The new law supersedes any Wolf Management Plan.

I agree, we should file suit against these group's for wasting taxpayer dollars with their foolishness.

They attack your livestock...kill them. Why did we waste taxpayers dollars in protecting them in the first place if all we are going to do is hunt them.

The legislature jammed through the wolf trapping and hunting legislation. The MN DNR steadfastly ignores the broader public in favor of a small group of special interests -MN Deer Hunter's Assoc, cattlemen, trappers. The legislation itself passed only with a small margin of votes, with most of the public unaware that the wolf was even delisted, no longer protected. This baseless season is wrong for Minnesota and must be stopped.

Yup dirtydogs- that's the plan; ALL we are going to do is hunt them- track 'em down and kill every last one of them. Maybe put a $10,000 bounty out. Or MAYBE it is that we just want to hold the line on their numbers. Left alone, their numbers will just keep rising, their range expanding, and the problems with humans will multiply. On the other hand, if we reduce the numbers of wolves in the current range, they may just back off from Lambchop, Fido, and Bullwinkle and revert back to eating Bambi and Thumper. Bill G.

The law was passed without public input and this is obvious from the amount of public comment against the hunt in the DNR's own survey! This is not frivolous!! Do you people have children, dogs? Do you know that they can wander into a trap and be severely damaged by a trap set for a wolf on public lands? Even when on a leash? This did happen to one of my dogs so I know first hand that this can happen. There is a ton of research on how wolves assist the natural life cycle, protecting us from diseased deer and contributing to the health of the lands they occupy. We are not in the dark ages anymore people! The big bad wolf and little red riding hood are fairy tales!! Wolves re part of our natural cycle of life and to destroy them destroys the planet. Wake up!!

Wolves are people too! Uptown stands in solidarity with the wolf pack. We have never had any problems with them!

"claiming that the state failed to give the public an opportunity to weigh in." - Well DUH! That's what the state has become best at when it comes to DNR anything.

I would have to think that it is mostly about livestock being killed, it would cost the state less to pay a fixed amount per head of dead livestock than spending the money to administer a wolf hunting season. I think it worked fine when they were federally protected. In about another 20 years, they will have to put them back on the Endangered Species list. Stupid!
