This 2 minute defense that prevents the Vikes from winning goes all the way back to the "Hail Mary" playoff game vs. Dallas in 1975. Brett Favre made a career out of beating Minnesota in the last two minutes. Atlanta went to a Super Bowl because of it and Steve Young made a run for the ages against it. Unless a wide open receiver drops the ball, opponents score in the last two minutes vs. the Vikings.

EH simply took a bad angle on the ball and ball carrier. The whole idea behind the cover two is that middle linebacker knows angles and takes the right ones on the wr that comes into the middle. EH blew it. End of story. The other question that should be asked, but won't be by the brillant beat writers is why didn't the defense check out of the zone blitz when Luck saw it and shifted max protection to the side the blitz was coming from? Or were the players on the Vikings dumb enough to think they could out man Indy?

Nightmare play will equal nightmare season. The foreshadow is in the pudding.

Viking linebackers are slow and not very athletic. I've been saying it for a couple of years and I know I will get flack, but Chad Greenway is over-rated.

There isn't a LB in the NFL that can cover Reggie Wayne 1 on 1...there's only one coach that would even attempt it, and the Vikings have him. Henderson had 12 tackles and a sack...he was the Viking's most valuable defensive player...don't throw him under the bus! Get the other 10 players on the field to give the same effort and they'll have success.

I'm not too concerned with Ponder anymore. Yeah, he holds onto the ball a little too long but that comes with experience and WR's who can get open. It is defense that wins games and championships. And the Vikes are not playing defense well at all. Is it scheme, personnel? Both?

both of our "big" free agent signings are mia, thanks rick, nice job. carlson wasn't the only open receiver you missed christian.....3 tipped balls, a turnover, sacked when the ball should be thrown away, more than a few things on your list....

Bottom Line Leslie Frazier is play your best players as much as you can. One more return would not have put Percy into a position where he was worn out and not able to play! Linebackers better pick up the pace as they are the sore spot on the defense.

The Problem is with the Tampa 2 and our coaches lack of creativity to come up with any kind of defensive shift or change after the game has started. There should rarely be a defensive play that has a LB covering a WR especially one like Reggie Wayne. Wake up coaching staff its time to get a bit less predictable!

probably more humiliating for Henderson was when he was badly burned by Luck during an open field scramble in the first quarter.
