I have grown, lately, to have little faith in our American government these days. I'm' not voting this year. I couldn't give a darn about the election - who wins, who loses. It will still be the same for several more years.

Mrs.Hrdlicka,I am so sorry our government cares so little about its warriors,I will say a prayer for you and your husband and hope you find peace some day,it is one of the few things I am ashamed of this country for. God bless you !!!!!

Same cover up appears to also apply to, at that time, Cmdr. Harley Hall US Navy F4 Phantom Pilot. A former commander of the US Navy flight demonstration team the Blue Angels.

Since our government lies to us about everything else, it's doubtful they are telling the truth about POWs either. But "northborders," please don't show your dissatisfaction by not voting. If you don't vote, you don't really have a right to complain. Instead, vote for someone else. I am voting a straight Libertarian this year, even though I know they don't have a chance of winning. I guess it's just my way of protesting the status quo. But to stay away from the polls is just apathy, and I don't think that's where you're really coming from.

It is sad to read a story like this. However, we must move on with our lives. We will never know the whole/truth of the story - how do we know that the Vietnamese killed him and buried him and left no record? I am sure things happened like that. Again, this is sad, but it won't be the last time. We cannot always blame our government.

Call me a kook, but I look at his picture and still think he is alive and is still in Laos but now he has given up hope of ever leaving that place. I even have an immage of him speaking there language and living in a village. I don't know why but his captives never let him go(they view him like a trophy), even after the war was long over and he still lives amongst those people. The government really should look into who is still stuck over there, probably less than 200 left but there are some guys still stuck in that place.

I wore his bracelet from 1984 to 1996. The government should take the time to bring them all home. Blessing and prayers

I, as a student of this appalling POW/MIA issue, was delighted to see this well written article. However, the article did not touch on those guilty parties who made the decision to deliberately abandon many hundreds of soldiers. Yes, Nixon was distracted, but initially the blame goes to Kissinger and our Congress at that time who reneged on reparation payments. It was covered up by a bipartisan group including Ford, Carter, Bush 1, Clinton, and especially John McCain and John Kerry! Why would they do this? IF THE TRUTH HAD COME OUT ALL OF THEIR REPUTATIONS AND CAREERS WOULD BE DESTROYED! It is the most disgusting coverup in modern American history. We are all only human, but these men, in my mind, are criminals of the highest order. p.s. please read "An Enormous Crime"
