There are many options at short and second, but no one is locked in as a starter.

So i was just wondering if I were to lie through my teeth and say what a great team the twins are; and what great leadership at all levels the organization has; and what wonderful, insightful, and talented writers the strib uses to cover said team; would my post stay up?

Just another loss on the way to 100 losses for this very bad baseball team. And memo to those who want Gardenhire fired at the end of the season. The only way he won't be back next year is he decides to retire as manager. The Twins have become a very inside organization. Nobody on the inside gets fired. Point, why does Smith still have a job after his brief debacle as GM? Lastly even there is a managerial change, they will probably bring up that manager from Rochester to take over the Twins job. That's their history folks, like it or not.

Only in Minnesota could you lose almost 100 games two seasons in a row and not be fired. Only in Minnesota. Maybe they don't do any better, but my gosh...make some changes guys. All over...just like Arkansas/the state of status quo.

At the run production rate of these mutts Pohlad will need to get Verlander and three of his clones next year just to be competitive.

If Gardenhire is not fired, if we don't hire a REAL General Manager, and if Cheap Pohlad does not spend money this offseason, I vow to not spend a penny on this team next year. Anyone with me?

The problem with the Twins is not Pohlad (12th highest payroll in MLB), Gardy (his record over the last decade proves he's a winning manager), or Ryan (built the winning teams of the 00's). The problem is the overall poor player personal and money management decisions made by Bill Smith over his four years as GM. Ryan improved the lineup last winter and his task this winter is to improve the pitching. I have total faith he will. My Legend's Club season tickets are renewed.
