Sales are up in Lakeville, Edina and other cities, and that means more money for municipal needs.

I found Edina Liquor's selection limited and their prices very high. There are several stores in the Twin Cities that offer much more for much less.

I just had three craft beers at Republic Seven Corners that I had never seen or heard of before. Craft beers are the best thing to happen to bars since prohibition was repealed.

Unlike a lot of things, beer and wine can be produced right in our own communities. We should all patronize locally produced beverages, and the munis should promote them. Stop giving our money to Miller and Anheuser Busch and maybe that will put an end to all the idiotic commercials they make.

@akorn I think that will cause them to make even more idiotic commercials to try and win business back. That said, I agree, local beer is the way to go.

Didn't read the article, just the headline. My guess is that if there are green flames seen on burning beer, the alcohol and copper content of these beers is too high.
