Pleanty of people have invoked a twisted interpretation of God's word to justify their perversions. It will never make it less sinful to do so, regardless of how you pretend about it.

The problem with gay marriage is that by definition marriage is one man, one woman - according to bible, the church (in most circumstances), and Webster. The other problem with marriage is that the government has their hands in marriage even though marriage always was a religious institution. There is no government in marriage, only God and the couple. We'd have been better off if government never got involved in marriage whatsoever and it remained in the sole purveyance of God and his followers.
