Really, you homewrecked, that is there is to it and while the wife was dealing with a death. What did his wife do to you to deserve that? Maybe you have and changed and would never do it again but you need to show the family that. Also, if he will cheat with you, he will cheat on you...Like another commenter posted on another board...

Heckles is absolutely right. You can't expect respect when you have so deeply disrespected a person that was probably very well loved (otherwise the family wouldnt care so much). You will most likely always be the homewrecker or suspected of being a cheater. They probably loved this woman as family and now because of both of your actions she lost her spouse now too. Also, dont be surprised if he cheats on you someday. You are not going to have to go the extra mile, you are going to have to go an extra hundred miles with this family.
