If Joe C. looked up the definition of "decimating," he'd learn that wasn't what happened to the team's rotation this year. That would mean the team lost one starter (half of one, actually). The word you want, Joe, is "annihilating."

Cole: Heal up quick and come back in the spring. You're definitely good enough to compete at the mlb level. You are really good at mixing up your pitches and keeping the ball down. Great balance gives you good footwork, which lets you spot the ball on the periphery of the zone. Good fielding and quick to the plate keeps the runners honest. Your skill set will last your whole career.

DeVries has just as good a shot as any of the others. But hopefully the top two spots will be new guys.

Kudos to DeVries for continuing to pitch 2 more innings after gettting whacked in the ribs. Not detecting the cracked ribs with an MRI to start with raises further doubts as to our medical staff missing diagnoses to include when to DL Pavano, Ploufe and Spahn.

It's obvious that Germany has been watching the Twins this season and didn't want Gardy to manage their team.

This sucks! This will throw a wrench into that starting rotation for the playoffs.

Devries is a gamer and I wish him well, but if next year's rotation includes Devries as anything more than a Kevin Slowey clone, the team is doomed. IF Diamond and Deduno continue to progress, you have a couple of nice number 3 starters. Now Ryan needs to get off his keister and get a 1 and a 2.

Any chance we can get Germany in the AL Central?
