Hunters should aim for a good clean kill. Trapping is just evil, however. The animals suffer for hours or even days with broken bones and excruciating wounds. It is not unusual for them to try to chew their own legs off. No decent human being should inflict that sort of pain on another creature just for fun, "sport," or profit.

I am a deer hunter but personally have no desire to shoot a wolf although many times per season we see several of them loping around our deer stands and as dusk starts to set in they began their hunt. It is not unusual to hear them howling to each other as they hunt down their prey. What is puzzling is they seem to hunt every night which makes me beleive they are out to kill more than they can eat. I used to unload my gun after dark but not any more.

I too am a deer hunter, and I have no stomach for shooting wolves. I think it says something about you when you are willing to kill something for the heck of it because you can. Why not just shoot a dog or a cat? More than enough of them around. One can only hope that karma is indeed a b*tch for the wolf hunters of MN.

Chase all you want. The "kill" doesn't have to happen. The kill is only for the cowardly.
