Conditions across Minnesota are ripe for wildfires

Officials are asking Minnesotans to use caution as wind, high temps, low humidity and dry vegetation make for danger.

It never fails...some people are just clueless. It was 12 years ago during weather like this that some joker who had a burn permit that was good for thirty days decided to pick a day just like today to light up his brush pile, which got out of control and burned a good chunk of Carlos Avery along with 4 homes.

Even given how dry it is, I have neighbors who have huge bonfires almost every night. It is beyond obnoxious to have a nice cool fall evening, and have to close your windows so you don't choke to death breathing that smoke. Get a clue, people!
