Agree on the grades. Beyond the kicking game, the coverage on kick offs and punts was superb. i think the jags only started outside the 20 once on kick offs. Defense has to be better than that. We had individuals step up for a play here and there, but did not play well as a unit. I think the key has got to be Harrison and Raymond. Need to have better anticipation.

I agree D was the weakness against Jags. I did not expect the Jags O to have that much success against the Vikes D. Jags D is respectable so the Vikes success running and throwing the ball was incouraging. Would have liked to see a couple more touchdowns in the red zone that would have put the game away. Good game to build on.

As one who hoped that the Vikes were going to draft Gabbert last year, I have to say that Gabbert is who I thought he was. He is just like Ponder in that the fact that he got no OTAs or anything besides a preseason last year, had no time to adjust the way that players normally do. He, also like Ponder had no one to throw to. He has more weapons around him this year and has the wide receiver that many thought that the VIkings should have taken. So don't berate the defense, because you will see that Jacksonville is much improved this year and the game against the Vikes was not a fluke.

Oh and where is the grade for the coaching staff, which should be an A for the fact that the Vikes led the league the first week for the fewest penalties, 4.

I have to agree with lannys9. I was really impressed with the lack of false starts, pass interference, holding, etc.. I don't recall a vikings team as disciplined as this group. That is likely a large contributing factor as to why they had a chance at the end to win it..
