Great big win by the Vikings today. I just love this team in 1st place. Did anyone else see the push off by the Jacksonville WR at the end of regulation. That was a clear Offensive interf. call right in front of the ref. how do they not call that play back???? again. ug

The official attendance for the Vikings' opener Sunday: 56,607. Which means at least 50,000 people wandered into downtown Minneapolis in the late afternoon...I guess that's what 3-13 gets you, their first non sellout in 14 years.

The Vikings will tell you that they played an incomplete game today, but they played it with complete effort and were rewarded. Most fans have reasonable expectations for this season, but win or lose, the kind of high effort we witnessed on Sunday vs. Jacksonville is the effort that we all expect the Vikings to give. Way to hang in there, fellas, and way to find a way to win.

I saw that too, wisstink. Shorts looked like Drew Pearson on that Hail Mary. I was surprised Cook didn't fight him off, though, he's supposed to be such a tough guy.

We needed overtime to win at home against a team that won 5 games last year. We have a heckuva kicker, but we'll be lucky to win 5 games this year. HELLO MATT BARKLEY!!

great win, but can we please cut cook. it's bad enough he is terrible, but off the field he is even worse. the star trib should be ashamed for wasting there time with an article on this clown. ps that was not a push off. nice to have you back ap.

COOPER227 you do realize that he went through the same justice system you would go through, so if you got off, does that mean your boss shouldn't give you your job back. GOOD WIN, but we got to open up and let all the plays out because in two weeks is the real test!!

Could we please can the Matt Barkley talk? 1 game into the season, a win nonetheless, and the most important thing on your mind is #1 draft pick next year? Great effort yesterday. Stick with Ponder and put the pieces around him to make him successful. The Vikes don't need another Peyton Manning to win. We need to build on what we have while AD still has the miles left in his body, not rebuild with a new QB every 3 years.

Yes nice win against a (at best) 7-9 team. Playoff's?? Abit premature don't you think. My question is this. The clock was already stopped before the ball Shorts pushed off on, the defense was absolutely gassed!!! Why didn't we call a time out..........get the right defense set............fresh guy's for a pass rush(look at that replay of the Shorts touchdown and you'll see what I mean by a defense that looked like they needed oxegyn. I like Frazier alot!! He is a class individual! But he needs to grow too. Love ya Leslie but please take charge.
