What other franchise could give you both The Whizzinator and the Pecos River Learning Center? None other than the Vikings.

Great article. There may not be drama right now, but if they lose to Jacksonville in the dome, watch out!!!

Fire Musgrave. Now was that so hard?

I am a little concerned about McLeod John Baltazar Bethel- Thompson. There's something about him..............might be the hyphen.

Jim got his numbers turned around. The Herschel Walker trade involved only 19 players and Herschel used to do 1000 sit ups and 250 or 500 push ups per day.

Is it just me, or does that look like someone other than Favre inside that helmet and #4 jersey? Is it Bob Lee??

however boring they may be on and off the field this year, maybe... just maybe this is the start of a consistent franchise, with clear expectations to focus on football from top to bottom. I won't complain... yet.

it startred for me in 76. I was the only kid in school with a #88 Alan Page jersey, while everybody else was wearing Jets, or Giants jerseys. I think I almost cried when the Raiders beat the Vikes in that superbowl. I have been rooting for the Vikes ever since. I followed them through those great 70's teams, followed them through those 80's and 90's teams that seemed to send 10 players a year to the pro-bowl, but never really won anything. I lived through those lousy 00's teams, that you only heard about when they were doing something stupid off the field, or fighting on it. When Farve came to the team, I had a glimmer of hope, that was put out in New Orleans. Then the huge let down of the last 2 seasons. I have seen bad Owners change hands, bad Head coaches, come and go, high draft choices, and block buster trades, that were wothless. All though it is important for sport writers to have the team in termoil, and chaos, so there is something to write about; as a fan, its a blessing to be rooting for a team that is not having all the teenage problems, that I remember from high school[also in the 80's]. The team finally has a new stadium on the way, and a fresh outlook on building a great future, as a franchise. This team win or lose, is always going to be "MY TEAM". I have been reading negetive blogs, over and over again, for the last couple of seasons. Being a fan of this team, is like being married. You either take the good, with the bad, or get out. I have never lived in Minn., I have gone there to the Dome to watch some games. I have spent my hard earned money, to pay for Sunday Ticket, so I never miss any of the Vikes games. I am a fan, and I bleed Purple. This is a new begining. If you are a "REAL FAN", support your team. If you only put on your purple jersey when the team is winning, then maybe, this season isn't for you. I am exited for the season to begin. "ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL???" Put on your jersey, put on your Viking war helmet, grab your lucky beer mug. Tell your wife, to leave the room, because she is bad luck, on 3rd downs. Do whatever it takes, to get yourself football crazy, and let's get this season started already!!!! LET'S GO VIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have been a Viking fan, as long as anyone, and have disliked the Packers, for the same amount of years. Do not like the current situation where the odds, of the packers being a super bowl winner, being greater than the odds of the Vikes making the playoffs. Reason why I think spielman, Frazier and the rest of the coaching staff, should be on a very short lease, which they are almost at the end of. A note to Wilf-Hire proven winners at coaching and GM, and quit trying to save a few bucks.
