One of the reasons we went to Dish was because it carried the Big Ten Network. How will they compensate their customers? With the up coming hockey season it probably means no Gopher or Big Ten Hockey. If that happens Dish customers will have to find a network that carries the games. Might be a good time for Direct or cable to get into the act if they can pick them up they wil get a lot of new customers. customers.

@voner26, well said. I switched to Dish last year after being at DirecTV for 8 years. Lower pricing enticed me over. But I soon found out that Dish was not carrying all of the Gopher Hockey games on FNS in HD. Then Dish takes away AMC and some other channels...and now they want to take away BTN? I mean getting a lower price is one thing, but to end up with smaller and smaller channel lineups as a result is another. I am at the end of my rope. Since I can't fire BTN, I will fire Dish if they drop anymore channels, especially BTN.

You people have to ditch dish... They are messing with the B1G...the Legends and the Leaders. The ONLY thing to do is ditch dish. Be sure to let them know WHY you are ditching dish. Right now, they think they have the moral authority to "dish it out..." And you have the moral and the financial authority to cancel that broken dish schedule and serve them a huge dish right back in their faces as you tell them that you arc cancelling your subscription and that they now can consider themselves to be formally DITCHED. Ditching dish should be a real pleasure and don't be timid about dissing dish as you ditch dish. Pan the management of dish as you ditch dish...you know, the old "dish pan..." treatment. The very best thing to do though would be to ditch, pan break dishes and then go out and buy a season ticket to Gopher Football if you don't have tickets already... It's not nice to try to dish the BTN...DITCH DISH NOW! ; 0 )

Dish is a joke. DirecTV isn't perfect but way ahead of Dish.

set those alarms? What, so you can get in 3 hours of drinking before the game? Maybe if I was still in college.

@voner26, not sure what you were seeing but BTN has been available on all the other options i looked at before going to direct. For the people who cant get out of there contracts with dish call them and demand a reduced price and free showtime or other premium channels, i did when direct lost some channels for awhile when they coundnt agree on a price with those channels and will be watching showtime free for 6 mos.and also get a reduced price for 2 mos.

Dish is a second tier satellite network. Switch to Direct-TV.

The only people who would need to set an alarm for an 11 a.m. start would be the students. And since none of them attend the games, I think the starting time is a non-factor. It's just something for the U to blame on its shrinking crowds. Of course, we all know if this team was a contender, the place would sell out no matter what time the game started.
