Fall for the family: To 'Egypt' and beyond

'LOST EGYPT' Opens Oct. 13 at Science Museum of Minnesota The mysteries of this north African country are unearthed in a traveling exhibition. Find out how archaeologists use science and technology to uncover ancient civilizations, and learn about Egypt's past and present through hands-on activities. The exhibit features human and animal mummies, forensic facial reconstructions and scans. Unveiled for the first time is a life-size rapid prototype of a mummy in a stage of "unwrapping." Hands-on activities include puzzles, a guide to interpreting hieroglyphics and a walk through a re-created tomb hallway.
