MADONNA Nov. 3-4 at Xcel Energy Center Finally. After 25 years. That's three lifetimes in a pop music career. Madonna last performed in the Twin Cities in 1987. She's coming back to prove that she's mother superior to all of today's female pop stars. She'll reach back to "Like a Prayer" but also offer plenty of her more recent stuff in what has been described as a thematic show that travels from darkness to light.

You guys REALLY missed the boat, in my opinion, by failing to include the most anticipated concert in the past 10 years for many of us, namely the Oct.1, Twin City debut show for DISPATCH in your Fall Preview. I learned about this group from one of my students about 5 years ago and have become a huge fan of their relentlessly eclectic style and often very political sound and lyrics. Make sure you get to the show at the Orpheum. You'll even be able to download a recording of this concert 48 hours later as a part of the $41 ticket price. I'm 59 years old and I LOVE this group as well as STATE RADIO, a spin-off group. Thank you, Richard Nohel
