Doesn't seem to make sense to have a liberal mayor who has set his city on a path of decline and debt open for a president who has set his country on a path of decline and debt. Oh wait, it does make sense. They both have no clue that their polices don't work and are only making things far worse.

Hey RT- You aren't going anywhere with Obama. You can provide job counseling to him after the November elections. I just want you to stick around in town long enough for the first disclosure comes out that your stadium funding plan is screwed up and it will need more money because the projections were wrong, and oh by the way, it will need more funding. But it is going to be so good for Minneapolis, whats a little lie and a miscalculation error when we get the stadium? You had no intentions of running for re-election when you bypassed the citizens voting on the stadium. Hey how many $55,000 drinking fountains did you approve again?

They should have sent Amy K. She has a much better track record and reputation than RT. This will probably hurt Obama's chances in Minn.

Hey RT maybe you should try to work on putting your city back on track from its current criminal decline... Rarely will I venture with my kids to downtown for a Twins game because of the crime issues which are getting progressively worse. Enjoy the high property taxes Minneapolis....

I think it is time for all Americans to stand up and make both parties define middle class because I don't think it would be the same as the average US Citizen. From all the rhetoric flying around, I can only assume that must be everybody above the 50% that don't pay any taxes and the villified 1% that the Liberals don't feel pay enough. I fit in that category and neither party is looking out for me.

Great speech R.T. and in fact, Minneapolis has never looked better. Those that criticize the city on this site probably never leave their far flung suburban homes. You have done a great job!

Rybak was his usual clueless fool, but my favorite was the new World champion liar;------------------------------------------------- SAN ANTONIO MAYOR JULIAN CASTRO: "Despite incredible odds and united Republican opposition our president took action. And now we've seen 4.5 million new jobs." While that figure has become a White House talking point, it's only part of the story. It's a cherry-picked number that refers just to private sector jobs created in the last 29 months, from the trough of the recession through July. Governments — especially state and local ones — have continued shedding jobs. The economy lost 8.8 million jobs from the time employment peaked in January 2008 until it hit bottom in February 2010. Between then and this July — the most recent month for which there are figures — just 4 million jobs have been recovered. Never since World War II has the economy been so slow to recover all the jobs lost in a downturn.
