Mpls. schools urged to stay in area integration effort

A review by district staff recommended changes to make FAIR school student body more like Minneapolis district students.

I really hope that Minneapolis will recommend that WMEP get rid of their full-time superintendent position. Having a full-time superintendent for only 2 schools is a ridiculous waste of taxpayer money.

Clubvolumes does not seem to know that leadership for WMEP involves more than running two schools and includes its regional mission to promote equity and student achievement. WMEP is a consortium of many school districts providing services regionally -it is not just an operator of two schools.

**GASP** Moving kids from inner city to suburbschools isn't making them better students!? SAY IT AINT SO! The only thing open enrollment and integration has done is tear down suburb schools. Go see for yourself - I see it everyday.
