How much did it cost? With rising tuition and admin costs, is this the best use of funding? Students and staff have survived quite fine without this, they could continue just fine without it.

Is this the best use of funding? We got along fine with horse and buggies. We got along fine without computers. We got along fine without air conditioning. Any movement into the future is OBVIOUSLY a waste of taxpayer money:)

A better use of tax payer money would be providing improved service from downtown to the West Bank/Riverside campus. Does anyone at Metro Transit realize the number of employees who were transferred to the Riverside campus and have lost decent transportation to the new Children's Hospital? Riders from outlying areas must now transfer downtown to very limited bus service to Riverside Avenue. This lack of service has forced many to start drive and therefore increasing the number of vehicles on the highway along with high gas prices and parking expenses on campus. Someone at Metro Transit needs to think through these issues before you start bragging about your great but inadequate service!

I knew I could come here and read a totally ignorant statement about the system's cost. First comment, in fact. You didn't surprise me. Think about it: students and staff can remain working while they check the bus location. They no longer have to waste time standing at a bus stop. Good grief.

Next Trip with the MTC does not work in real time. Often, my bus is listed as "DUE" on the sign downtown on Marquette and the next time I look, the bus number has dropped off and no bus has shown up. Not my definition of "Real Time"

Rumor has it the Metro system charges about half of the actual cost per person. Which is nice if someone is helping pay the freight for you. Since the actual cost per person will never appear in the paper, what does the budget demand for the "Free" bus system we are talking about here? Oops, sorry, no numbers, move along, nothing to see here. Free. Gotta love it.Do you thin round trip light rail cost is over or under $50.00 per person? Guess.

Will the next inter-campus bus come in 4 minutes or 11 minutes? What did we do before we needed super pocket phone/computers.

This system wasn't needed and is a waste of money. The campus connectors run 5 minutes apart while classes are in session. Having this system when you have such short intervals between buses is ridiculous. This system is only practical for MTC routes that have longer gaps between stops.
