Steelworkers union reached a tentative deal with U.S. Steel; talks remained unfinished with two other Iron Range employers.

This will be a great opportunity for Minnesotans to actually see how the "Private Sector" Steelworkers contract pans out compared to the "Public Sector" State contract that the Rebublican heavy Committee voted down for 27,000 State workers.

If the details of the contract haven't been released yet, it would be tough to include them in this story. Indeed, the only available fact would be that a tentative agreement has been reached. Which is what the story says.

Once again, it is not the time for labor to be taking a hard line in negotiations. Look how painful things were for the sugar plant workers at Crystal Sugar.
