Yeah, Construction's on the rise, the Dow doubled from 6,000 to 12,000, and my 401(k) is well above where it was, so we'll just have to work a little harder to find a way to blame Obama for it all.

Go ahead and try to twist this into bad news for the economy and Obama. I can't wait...

LOL you Obama die hard's must have just shot right by this sentence? "While builders are still operating at a fraction of the pace they once were" Yeah, your 401K is back but you have lost 3 years of earnings that will take a very long time to make up if we stay with the Obama economy. If I told you that my widget factory had 60 percent more orders than last August, it would sound great until you find out last August was off about 90 percent from all previous August's? Just what are they putting in that liberal kookaid?

highlife75 - And you think Romney will just "flip a switch" and we will all begin spending again and create millions of jobs? That Kool-aid you speak of is being digested on the right side of the aisle.

wplettfan - Yes, and how thoughtful you are with the "flip a switch" energy is a great start, we are already spending the money on gasoline, just one problem, most of it is going overseas to people who don't like us, and use it to attack us. And the proof this will work is happening just a few hundred miles to our west in North Dakota, I bet they have more building permits in the Williston area (less than 100,000 pop) than we do in the 3 million pop metro area? I bet they sell more new vehicles in ND per capita, need I say more?

highlife75- I agree that we need to get more oil from our land but I guarantee that the people who live in the Dakotas will rue the day that they allowed fracking in their state. The chemicals that they are pumping into the ground has already tainted hundreds if not thousands of water wells.

The building boom is all apartments because people lost thier houses. I will garuntee if Romney is elected you will see businesses act differently right away in January. The magic switch you speak of is getting Obama out.

"Economic indicators all pointing in the right direction." The general attitude is now..."Life goes on, and if I want to change a house, let's get up and do it." This is because people are doing much better despite the attempted BLOCKING by a certain group of people. Hard news to swallow for the GOP that the economy will continue to improve under Obama's next four years as well. Blocking the American people is always a futile strategy.
