The Gophers made plenty of mistakes that could have cost them their season opener ... but didn't.

Ugh, a bad team beat a very bad team. Let's call it like it was.

I bet that this will be either there only win or one of two wins for them this year.

The worse of the worse faced off so somebody had to win-the cliches' Coach Kill said after the win were pretty cheesy comments.

holtsj- Would you rather have a good showing in a loss to a good team like the USC game? sniggle- I'll take that bet. (and it's their win) siouxchamp- still deciphering your post. It's agonizing to be a Minnesota sports fan but you might as well enjoy the good times. Go Lynx!

I watched the Boise State/Michigan State game last night and that was another game that featured a large number of mistakes. If those two teams palyed their game later in the season it would still be an enteraining game, most likely with fewer mistakes. If the Gophers replayed their game a couple of weeks later they also would have fewer mistakes. I thought the Gopher Defense played well, but the timing of their offense was weak, but they should improve.

They'll need to play much better to beat New Hampshire, Western Mich and Syracuse. Not to mention the Big 10 season. We'll see if coach Kill keeps up his pattern of being much better in year 2 soon enough.

Get Gray out of there and put him at RB where he belongs. This isn't working and the Gophers are headed for last place

First thier uniforms stink, second Gray is as confused as Christian Ponder and Joe Webb and third its gonna be a long season folks.

Good W for the program to start on a winning note. Let's build on this one. Gray is not Robinson at Michigan. Let's make him the best QB he can be and win 5 or 6 games this yr!

I think you "glass is half empty people" ought to go into coaching. I am so tired of gopher fans who complain about everything. This, after all, is just a game being played in a world where we need a little happy diversion. This coaching staff and players are good people who will win a lot of games. But then you will complain because they aren't as good as Michigan. What do you want-the hubris world of Penn State where football is completely disarranged from reality?
