I agree. Not long ago there was an article on getting people in the seats at the game. In order to do that you have to get people interested. An obvious way to do that is broadcast the games, especially the away games, but even the home games, because there are plenty of potential fans in outstate Minnesota. And what's with the Big Ten Network? They're showing a game from 2000. Really?

If you are a sports fan get DirecTV and stop crying like a baby. If you are silly enough to have cable you don't deserve to watch. Go Gophers.

How can you not get this channel if you live within 100 miles of the metro area - either you have cable or satellite tv, and it's available on both. The reason this game is on CBS Sports is that it is expensive to televise, especially when the teams are Minnesota and Vegas - a couple of bad and really bad programs, respectively. Whats making you watch if you don't live in Minnesota or in Las Vegas. If you live in Illinois or Indiana or Michigan, even though its a Big 10 team, why would you watch the Gophers. I can understand why BTN didn't choose to televise the game. As a U of M alum, I'm just glad it's on some channel. Also, the 10pm Central start time is a kick in the shorts, too.

fwallen- Jeez, some people like to complain just to complain. As stated in the story, anyone with Charter, Comcast, DirecTV or Dish Network has CBS Sports Network. That means if you're in the metro, pretty much the only way you don't have it is if you only have the converter box for over-the-air local stations - in which case you won't get to watch any Gopher football games this year anyways.

It is probably the 10PM start time that really killed this. BTN probably could not get a decent $ for live coverage. CBS Sports at one time was CBS College sports, and it seems to be carried PAC 10 games fairly regularly? It should not be a bad production.

you can stream it through the website thefirstrow.eu its free for us that do not have cbs sports channel

back when i was a kid, gopher games were on channel 4. and i'm not old.
