Running back by committee appears to be U's plan

Jerry Kill seemed to indicate that the Gophers will split up their carries rather than relying on one player to start.

As a long time Gopher fan of 60+ years and so well aware of the futility that they have experienced on the gridiron for so many, many years, I am only cautiously optimistic that the lads will play well in Sin on Thursday let alone do well in their non-conference schedule, a schedule characterized by many as a fairly easy one. On the other hand, we have heard such things before so many, many times only to watch the Gophers struggle against and often lose to marginal opposition. So. will take it one game at a time as they say and see what develops. I don't think that Gray will play the whole game on Thursday or play very well requiring Shortell to come in relief and perhaps bring the team to a come from behind win over the Runners. Not expecting much from the lads as usual but do hope that they finish near .500 at least.

I've lived out here in the desert for 30+ years. If you start drinking water when you fell thirsty, it's too late. You're already dehydrated. With that being said, I hope the Gophers kick the Rebels butts.

The Gophers can't field a competitive team until we build them a new stadium.

Hopefully they replicate the 3 headed monster! Barber, Russell, Maroney, what a backfield that was! The Offensive Line played a big part of that success. Build a big O Line, and they will run...

With a 10pm kickoff, best to DVR this game and then watch it the next morning on #2 fast-forward. Should only take 20 minutes to watch then. I would not expect much in this one, probably a lot of stupid penalties, fumbles, and badly thrown balls. Neither one of these teams are any good. Prediction...Gophers 26 UNLV 18

As a long-suffering Gopher fan that has lived in Vegas for 17 years, I hope the Gophers do not disappoint. UNLV is a very poor team that similarly to the Gophers "can't recruit the best in their own state". I just hope the Goph's show up because they do have superior talent. The heat is way overrated, yes it will be 90' at kickoff, miniscule humidity and the sun going down. It is no worse than 80' and your 85% humidity. I will be there cheering them on and hopefully I will have to explain what "SKY U MA a means. Go Gophers!
