Staying on track off campus

Students who live at home have to work a bit harder to form friendships -- and an essential connection to college.

New students - this article is very true. I lived at home and worked through college. It's easy to get disconnected from tutoring, study groups and campus life, especially at a big campus like the University of Minnesota. Make an effort to join groups and get involved - you'll be glad you did. College only lasts four years for most people but the relationships and lessons (-especially- those outside of the classroom) can be there for you most of the rest of your life.
