There will be 53 winners on this wheel Friday, and it's a good bet nearly all of the rookie draftees will make the team.

The only thing holding Sherrels back from being an above average returner is his timidity when hitting the hole. The great returners, and very good returners fire into that hole and either get hit hard or emerge unscathed for a big gain or TD. Sherrells could be similar to David Palmer if he just loses his stutter-stepping or downshifting when he hits that first hole.. but I'm sure the coaches have been telling him that. It's one thing to know it, another to be able to do it.

How pumped are we about the two Arkansas WR's we drafted now? Wright and Childs. Ummmm, yeah! Both will never be WR starters on any team. But lots of people were really excited when we drafted them, minus myself.

re: siouxchamp What a silly thing to say. I have to assume you're just trying to be provocative and get a response. Maybe you're right and maybe you aren't. But it's way to soon to say that they will or wont be starters. (besides loosen up a little. that's the fun of the draft, it's the projecting and hope. let yourself have a little fun!)

too early to tell? Silly to say? Other than the fact nobody in the history of the NFL has played a single down, after 3 major knee surgeries-its safe to say the Jury is out, on Mr Childs. As for the other guy-Seems as though he's a lock for special teams.

One thing is very clear, so far the Razorback WR's have not shown much. Prediction.....Bust in relationship to where they were taken in the draft. Spielman and his drafting are certainly a toxic combination.

Hopefully Michael Jenkins gets cut. The guys has worse hands than a sea lion. He has dropped more passes this preseason than he has caught. All the talk about Ponder, it is not a confidence builder when the recievers drop a sure thing.Jenkins seems to have stepped into Berrian's role of most board handed WR on the team.

that's the fun of the draft, it's the projecting and hope. let yourself have a little fun............... That might be your thoughts and Spielmans thoughts on the draft. About time, to take the draft seriously, the future of the Vikes fielding a competitive team, depends on the decisions made during the draft. IMO, Speilman drafted two busts, with our fourth round picks, at a much needed wide receiver position. Wright, has had a mediocre training camp, he would be gone, if not a fourth round pick. Childs, wish him the best, but probably will never be able to play pro football.

I would like to know why Audie Cole did not get playing time with the first team in the last game. He has earned some playing time with the first team. SKOL Vikings!!!

This article wasted to much on 3rd string running back. The Vikings look to be deep with defensive back and will have to cut a player that can play in the NFL. Just like another team will be deep at running back and will have cut a good running back. Besides, if Peterson is healthy and Toby is ready then what decent free agent would have signed with the Vikings?

Bengraved... there is no such thing as a fourth round bust. They are fourth rounders. Heck, it's hard to even expect a fourth rounder to make a team much less calling them a bust. I look at a 4th rounder making a team a nice draft selection. And, if Childs didn't get injured they both would have likely made the team - and maybe still will.
