The so-called GOP is going to kill it for themselves yet. Obama must be smiling...

Dear jessy03: If Obama is smiling, it is because he is still basking in the glory of having granted himself the power to lock you away forever without the benefit of a trial (read up on the NDAA) and because with the help of his friend Ben Bernanke he can reach into your pocket and steal away your purchasing power whenever he pleases, for the purpose of fattening the wallets of the folks who provide his billion-dollar campaign fund. Nothing could be more dangerous to Obama and his ilk, or for that matter to Romney and his ilk, than the Liberty movement. Read some history, wise up, and join us.

Why didn't Ron Paul run as a Libertarian or Independent? He really doesn't fit in with GOP ... Paul doesn't waver on his principals. Mitt will say anything to anyone to get elected but Paul solidly let's you know where he stands on issues.

daveziffer "Dear jessy03: If Obama is smiling, it is because he is still basking in the glory of having granted himself the power to lock you away forever without the benefit of a trial (read up on the NDAA)" I believe that power was assumed during the Bush administration.

" Paranoia strikes deep Into your life it will creep It starts when you're always afraid You step out of line, the man come and take you away Your tirade reminded me of a heroin addict I suffered during guard duty in DaNang in 1971. He was packing two 20 round clips and an M16. ( BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD 1970s)

Dems remember one thing. On 60 minutes tonight I learned that both Romney and Ryan signed the Grover Norquist pledge not to raise taxes. No matter what the national emergency they WILL NOT raise taxes. The country could wind up in the toilet and they WILL NOT raise taxes.

Dear wildfox: I understand your being perplexed by the incompatibility between Ron Paul and the mainstream GOP, but if you ever get a glimpse of either the Republican or Democratic parties from the inside, you will understand the impossibility of mounting a meaningful offensive against either of these behemoths as an independent or third-party candidate. A political campaign is like a war: you win by having a lot of feet on the ground. Millions of feet. Ron Paul is 77 years old. My guess as to why he didn't run as a Libertarian or an independent is that in 2004 (when he began his 2008 campaign) he didn't feel like spending the next eight years of his life fighting a war that he had zero percent chance of winning.

jcinmn: What exactly do you find delusional about my tirade? Obama DID grant himself the power to lock you away forever without a trial, and he and his cronies on both sides of the Congressional aisle are ripping you off every second of every day with their money-creation (actually credit-creation, which is the same thing), by virtue of which you must spend more and more of your hard-earned cash to buy the same things (except in the case where technical advances are so radical that they actually outstrip the pace of money-creation). Not only do they do it, but they publicly announce that they're doing it and they congratulate themselves on what a great policy it is (read almost any statement by Bernanke or his Federal Reserve buddies). Yes maybe I sound paranoid, but the evidence suggests that you're in denial.
