Michigan State is always supposed to be great "when they play up to their potential." They are always up and down. They beat Michigan and Wisconsin (at home), then they had their butts kicked in Lincoln 24-3. If they had such a great defense, how did the Gophers nearly pass for 300 yards and outrush them in East Lansing? A big road win for MSU will be beating the Gophers in Minneapolis--and I don't think they're a "lock" to do that. Boise State will give their D more than it can handle, as will OSU. They lose to Michigan and Wisconsin, get roughed up again by Nebraska, and will trying to get into some sort of bowl when they finish out the season against the Gophers.
