She did this by building the first bridge between old ideas and new ones about what a female comedian should be.

What a lovely eulogy! The sign of a life well-lived is that people miss you when you're gone.

Folks don't realize how hard it is to entertain (not just shock and embarass like today's comics) with just words & delivery and have folks asking for more. RIP Phyllis.
