Probably the best thing for him. A family to live/work for should ground him and there's no better motivation in life than doing what's best for you family.

I'm very impressed by what I've read about Gray. Doing just a couple of those things right can be difficult for a college kid. But great student, father to three, future husband and starting quarterback. That's a lot for everyone. His mother's support and wisdom seems to help guide him to being a great father. I wish him and the team a great year and hope they all do well in any future football careers. I'll be keeping an eye on their season.

I agree that it sounds like he has his life in order. One thing about the article, he was NOT "babysitting" the twins. He's a parent and he was at home with his children. I don't think I've ever seen an article that describes a woman as babysitting her own children.

Supporting a family of 5 on a college QB's salary must be tough? :-O Is the U sending the bagman twice a month now??

Why glorify having illegitimate children?? Who is footing the bill for this "family"?? I don't think I want to know. .

philgorngie ... I think we're ALL "legitimate." My guess - only about 10% of us are here by 'exact plan and design' whether conceived under the 'umbrella' of a married 2 parent household or not. Marqueis is the father and looks like he's steppin' up to the plate. I agree with you on the other point though- I do hope he's making some money somehow- I know from many years of parenting it costs Big Time money to raise a family! I couldn't have done it years ago as a college student. Good luck to Marqueis & family.

Too bad he's worthless as a QB. He should quit and focus on 'parenting'

It's interesting that the writer doesn't focus on how a college student, who doesn't have time to work for pay, can support a family of five. In this economy, with my own grown, unmarried children struggling to keep a roof over their heads and paying inflated prices for gas and food, with full time employment, how can Mr. Grey do it successfully. The writer fails to close the loop on this human interest story and tell us the secret to how he accomplishes these financial tasks; that should be the real story. Maybe we can all learn from Mr. Grey's financial accomplishments.
