I was lucky enough to be both a student and friend of Linda's. She was a patient teacher with high standards committed to ensuring her students learned the flight and decision-making skills needed to become proficient and safe pilots. On first meeting her many were struck by the severity of her arthritis, but anyone who spent any time with Linda observed her amazing resilience and remarkable technical and teaching abilities. She was all there until very near the end of her life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and an inspiring curiosity and drive and was generous with her counsel regarding flight decisions. I will remember always and with great affection, many flights and sim lessons with Linda, articles she wrote and the stories we traded about flying.
