After years of planning, a mother-daughter duo are thrilled to have a food stand at the fairgrounds.

Tried them yesterday, and having grown up in the Northeast, I can say that they are the real deal. The best food I had at the fair all day. Good luck, ladies, you deserve it.

Dr.Feelgood..."She Built it" Yes, she built it at some level, but the social event we call the fair was built using our tax dollars. No state fair, no dream of a two week payoff.. We built it.

"justborn-the fair was built using our tax dollars." From the Fair web site, "The Minnesota State Fair is a quasi-state agency that is completely self-supporting. The fair has not received any public money or government appropriations of any kind since 1949." The state also collects a pretty large amount of state income and sales tax from the event. The Fair a positive contributor - not a tax suck.

They should have something that clues the ignorant, like me, to what a cannoli is. I would have walked right past because I didn't know what it was. Now I guarantee I will have more than one.
