if the right would stick to economical issues, and the left would stick to social issues, we might have a match .

Isn't it disgusting the way the liberal media is trying to tie Paul Ryan into the Akin quote? But when your messiah is a total and complete failure and directly responsible for the loss of millions of jobs and American investment going and staying overseas, I guess you have no other option than to try to tarnish someone via guilt through association. Next up: Paul Ryan wants to kill the elderly and poor people so evil rich people can "steal" from the middle class by keeping their own money which they earned instead of having it taken so it can be given to welfare recipients to buy votes.

Gauthier is stepping down. Akin should too.

"Guilt through association" sounds an awful lot like the right's insistence on tying the president to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Now, it's wrong to do?

Oh man...the brazen duplicity of leftists knows no bounds (guess they know their constituency well) Milbank writes " Does he now regret his sponsorship of legislation that made a distinction between "forcible rape" and other kinds -- a position eerily similar to Akin's "legitimate rape"?" ........ Umm is he familiar with leftist Whoopi Goldberg’s defense of Roman Polanski’s rape of a 14 year old saying it wasn't rape rape?! Or DNC prime time speaker Bill Clinton being credibly accused of rape by Juanita Broderick and Kathleen Wiley? or the goings on and subsequent vigorous defense by leftists of Anthony Weiner??? And that is just the tip of the iceberg! This piece is a joke as is Dana Milbank,,,Ryan has no relevant tie to Akin and though what Akin said is dumb and wrong, he, unlike Bill Clinton, didn’t rape anybody. Just proof that the leftists are in full scale panic mode with a trumped up story like this.

"Does he now regret his sponsorship of legislation that made a distinction between "forcible rape" and other kinds -- a position eerily similar to Akin's "legitimate rape"?" - - - While this right wing fanatic is disavowing his previous support for the legislation claiming that Mitt will be president, he cannot escape the fact that he will be a heart-beat away from being President and most American repudiate his radical thinking of women's health issues and gay rights. America will not survive another Republican administration. OBAMA/BIDEN 2012

Fact: the vote Ryan keeps referring to which "passed with 251 votes" was only AFTER the offensive "forcible rape" wording had been changed. Further, this term was HIS idea (along with Akin). Even further, Ryan and Romney have roundly supported the "personhood amendment" which, if enacted, would effectively ban ALL abortions - even to save the mother's life - and make IVF, stem cell research, and most birth control pills illegal. This ideology would, if given the power, impact half of the American population. And, believe me, with this horrifying prospect, no educated woman would dream of voting for this pair!

I wouldn't worry too much about Ryan catching a 'cold', every time Biden sneezes, the entire Democrat party catches pneumonia.

flossy2012: "Isn't it disgusting the way the liberal media is trying to tie Paul Ryan into the Akin quote? But when your messiah is a total and complete failure.." Ryan and Akin sponsored bills to deny abortions to all women. Of course they are tied together...at the hip. And, by the way, my Messiah is not a "total and complete failure," he's the Son of God.

RE: "But when your messiah is a total and complete failure and directly responsible for the loss of millions of jobs and American investment going and staying overseas, "*********My, such an angry, emotional reaction! None of us who strongly support the president view him as a "messiah" and see his efforts to stop the country's Bush-generated free fall as quite successful given the impossible conditions into which he walked and has had to deal with. The economy was bleeding 800,000 jobs a month for the first half year of Obama's term; he stopped this and oversaw the adding back in of 4.4 million jobs. And it's not he who out-sourced jobs overseas; it was Romney.
