Blackburn is AAA talent at best. Hendricks appears to be the same.

Once again Gardo...the other teams' pitcher threw a great game...not "we stunk it up". Guess they never Stink it up in Gardy's eyes.

Gardy thinks the Twins are always going up against Koufax or Gibson. I guess that's because we invariable make the opposing pitchers look like Koufax or Gibson. Well, at least our boys battled ...

Well Gardo..Game plan A wasn't working during the game...what was plan B or C? or were you just looking through your all-time favorite post-game comments. Perhaps since your the manager..you could suggest to Vavra a different approach might be needed during a game for certain hitters...or, using all your acquired managerial skills..come up with something different yourself during the game to try and add some life to this team instead of retreading the same post-game comments...

Going to be a tough decision for those deciding who wins the Cy Young award this year.

The direction the Twins are going shows years of losing. This pitching staff will struggle next year too, unless major changes take place. Let's hope it start with Gardy and crew. The fans and players need some new excitement.

I am amazed by the people who continually belittle the Twins and their manager. Do you believe the F.O. will read your comments and say, "Geeze (insert anonymous user name here) keeps saying this. I think we should make a change."? Or, is it a case of when either Gardy finally retires, quits, or is fired you can say, "I was calling for this years ago."? I agree the owners should fund a team that has a chance. I agree with the blogger who made a case earlier this summer that payroll should not include Mauer's contract. (How much crying would there be if Joe had left? He would have gotten that contract somewhere) I also feel there is merit about questioning if there is effective use of a roster that includes three catchers. But, really, day in and day out same cynical comments about Gardy? Go start your own blog where people who think like you can experience Groundhog Day. Meanwhile, let the rest of us read comments that are interesting.

The Twins seriously need to look at the medical and coaching support they have for pitching as well as all the players. Far too many pitchers on the DL the last few years with no success once they are reactivated. Perhaps if they threw more pitches in a game they might retain some arm strength instead of being treated as babies. The Twins are a prime example of inept leadership and innovative thinking and adapting.

two postgame thoughts: 1) it's amazing how many "better performances" come against the twins and 2) what came first, the losing twins' teams or the lack of the twins' front office knee-jerk?

Gardy has been in fulltime excuse mode for years. I have not called for Gardy to be let go, but it is approaching that time as the status quo leaves us at the bottom of the division.
