Vikings fans and their jerseys: Deep purple

As Friday's game again showed, fans will wear their jerseys en masse when the Vikings are in town.

I have a real game jersey signed by Ed White, the former all pro gaurd for the Vikes in their glory days. That is seriously old school I know but it means something to this day since my dad and uncle got it for me. I got to meet Mr. White when I was about 10 years old (my uncle and he were fishing buddies, dad knew Mr. White through that). Very nice man. That jersey is framed and on my game room wall to this day. Currently, I usually go with my AP jersey when I manage to get to a Vikes game.

My two jerseys reflect my admiration for two guys that respect the sport and lay it all on the line, AP and Johnny Randle.

The only jersey color to be sported by Vikings fans should be purple. 32 teams have a white jersey. Only 1.5 teams are purple (the Ravens are sometimes black, sometimes purplish...).

I would not get an expensive jersey with a player's name on it. They are here for a cup of coffee and leave in free agency. Then you have a jersey of a player that was barely here that cost a couple hundred dollars.
