Tarvy has gotten the benefit of 6 full seasons in the nfl. This guy hit the lottery! Some inept nfl team will sign him and just watch, this guy will hang around longer. It would not surprise me if he becomes a 10 year player. Who would ever have thunk

The Gophers are offering two-game football packs for as little as $70? That seems like a lot of money for a team that's been labelled "irrelevant" by almost everyone.

The Twins will lose 5 million in ticket sales. Finally, the Twins may have gotten the Pohlads attention. Now maybe they will check into why that will happen. It's all able making money for the Pohlads.

T-Jack's going to pull a Gannon somewhere. Jaws will drop when we turn on ESPN and see him holding the MVP trophy.

I just hope Ponder is more like Tommy Kramer and less like Jackson. All three were reaches in the draft who were not considered top level quarterbacks. Another reach is back up Joe Webb who looks just like Gopher QB Marquis Gray, a good scrambler but inconsistent passer. With these guys running the shows it looks like we are in for another long losing football season. Nice to see former Gophers Adam Weber throwing passes to his old roommate Eric Decker in Denver. Too bad they aren't on the Vikings roster.

The Vikes have the siftest schedule we have had in years. If Ponder continues to improve, AP recovers strong, and our young players pitch in..... WHO KNOWS. The Vikes always seem to let you down when you expect something and suprise you when you don't. Skol.

52 years of disappointment. It's insanity to think it's going to change. It's great to have an owner with billions BUT doesn't know how to build a winning team. This franchise is loaded with shoe clerks posing as NFL execs. If Wilf really is committed to wining a championship he'll hire a legit GM. Wilf's statement "I'm patient" is just another way of saying I'm just another Pohlad.

The vikings are still completely overmatched when it comes to playoff caliber player talent and thay have absolutely zero talent in the coaching and front office departments. The ten year re-buliding program they are two years into still needs a total coaching and front office overhaul. After that a majority ownership change to a local owner will complete the re-building and then we can start the talk of being able to reach the playoffs again!!!

partskcoj, 52 years of disappointment? You obviously are not old enough to have experienced the 4 SBs during the years 1969-1977. Since the Vikings came into the league they have won nearly as many division titles as have both Green Bay and Chicago combined. How about Randy Moss' rookie year of 1998? Brett Favres career year here in 2009? Granted there have been no SB victories, but calling the Vikes 52 year legacy here in Minnesota a disappointment is etirely wrong. The Vikes have one of the biggest fan bases of any team in the NFL. Their great history is largely the reason why.

t stevens: I recall the 4 S/B's. Are you saying these were examples of celebration?? If these 4 S/B's were not disappointments, you must be glad the Vikes lost!
