Vikings make a little leap forward

The Vikings' first-teamers showed some flash in the first quarter, moving offensively and stopping Buffalo on defense.

I wasn't able to watch one play, but according to pictures and your story it sounds as if we have our kicker for the next 10-15 years. The leaping ability of Simpson is crazy. He better hope someone doesn't catch him in mid air and break his leg. Ponder also sounded as if he had a solid game. All this against a decent Bills team. Go Vikes...

Eat crow, Ponder haters. He's going to be a top-10 quarterback.

Vikings look like they are heading finally back to the SuperBowl. Might have another 14-2 season again. Who can stop the Vikings is my question? Ponder seems like he is going to be the greatest quarterback ever! Much better then Joe Montana, Johnny Unitas put together. The Bradys; Mannings are total subpar quarterbacks compare to Ponder!

Glad HarryWild agrees with me.

Big thrills in the Dome tonight: The crowd was evidently so bored in the 3rd Q, they did a drunken wave about 17 times while throwing shredded programs on everyone in the stands. Whoopee! Is this standard procedure, or just a pre-seasson game event?

Definitely showed some good things tonight. Ponder was efficient, starting defense was solid, and Blair Walsh is looking like he was worth that sixth rounder. The only complaint I have is that I think we need to improve near the redzone. We kicked far too many field goals, need more TDs! Other than that, a very solid effort.

Good stuff from the Vikes tonight. Draft picks made some plays and Ponder actually looked like an NFL QB. The only downer was Kalil. At least two of the sacks were on him. Audie Cole made the team tonight, good for him.

Hello, Bills went 1-8 from November on last year getting outscored 160 to 280 something.

Wow, sure is a tough, cynical crowd here. Vikes looked good smacking around an opponent and mostly complaints here. Would you rather they got exposed and spanked at home by lowly cleveland like the packers did?

If I were the Vikings, I would be worried. How many times were the Vikings down in the Bills territory and they had to settle for field goals? Yes, Walsh did get a good "workout", but the Vikings need to get into the endzone. If this continues, the Vikings will have another long season like last year. I guess, I should be happy they won last night, but I am definately worried.
