By the time Dayton resigns before his term is over he'll have driven out half the businesses in Minnesota.

They have been moving out of Minnesota for decades by plan. The business climate here has been in decline for decades, they knew that when they formulated their plan. It turned out to be a smart plan.

I've long suspected that people leave comments without reading articles, merely based on the headlines. And this story, and its comment thread, is the proof. The article makes it clear that Bemis had long planned to consolidate its operations in Wisconsin, as a business decision, but birdpeep and fdog62 show up and blame it on Dayton and Obama. Sure, we can debate the role of Dayton and Obama in the economy - but NOT IN THIS CASE!!! Why do I even come to these comment sections anymore?

Same net U.S. jobs. It is time to require the richest and largest firms in U.S. to hire "hanger on " employees and become less productive. These rich entities have huge wads of cash. Give them a choice, hire hanger ons or we will take that cash away to pay unemployed families. The mononpoly game doesn't play well when few have everything.

People should drive out to western Mn and see the the business climate of Mn. North and South Dakota are booming. Breckenridge, Moorhead and East Grand Forks are drying up. Ghost towns. The taxes are going down and the jobs going up. Minn has the the same opportunity if they would open up the minning in Northern Mn and quit throwing the money away on all the social program thay have that bring people to the state.
