I love Steve Sack. But notable here are his choices. Where's Obama's plan? Oh wait. He doesn't have one. No steering wheel for the president. At least the GOP -- via Ryan -- has one. Should be interesting to see of the Republicans can make the electorate understand that the Romney plan saves Medicare. Obama? He punted. He's not in the picture -- or Sack's cartoon.

I just can't figure out how Ryan can criticize Obama for his "Medicare cuts" when he proposed the same. It is almost as if soeone who had enacted a previous version of "ObamaCare" now supported the repeal of ObamaCare. I'm sure the GOP would never do that!

Single Payer please. Single payer does not take away your doctor, or take away clinics as a business. It does take the profit out of the paper work. $Bs in profit. Profit that is used to lobby congress and pay for super pacs to keep the profit. Oh, and steam rollers really don't steer all that well.

I think that President Obama's plan for Medicare is to just LEAVE THE PROGRAM ALONE. Fine. However, I'd add just ONE more thing if I was in his shoes. Any costs that are not covered by payroll tax revenues -- and are said to be Bankrupting the Medicare program -- would be offset by cuts in Military spending. Ryan & Romney could ride their Go-Carts over that territory as well. Plenty of room for Military spending reductions.

GOP hates it when fraud is cut from anything, since it's really their bread and butter.

On the other hand we could give Obama 4 more years to cut out all the waste and fraud in Medicare...just like he's done for the last three and a half years. All good.

Anybody figured out that Obamcare is Romney's Massachusetts plan fixed, and that Obama's Medicare fix saves the same amount in the same way as Ryan's plan - without bigger government or using vouchers to do it?... Just guessing that we won't be hearing much about the flaws and problems in Romneycare -- sorry, Obamacare --- during the campaign.

"Any costs that are not covered by payroll tax revenues"... Medicare, unlike Social Security and Disability, has a provision in it that allows any shortfalls to be made up by increasing premiums. Any costs not covered by FICA are - by law - to be covered by increasing premiums. Kinda hard for Medicare to go broke with that clause in its law.

It's not "Obamacare" it's Universal Health Care, something all civilized nations embrace but for the United States of America. You do the math. Health care is a right , not a privilege.

Just what I thought Ryan will be in the drivers seat and Romoney will take orders from the bottom up if elected. Kinda like President Cheney did. Romney makes GW Bush look like a Rhode scholar.
