I've been brewing my own for years. As much as I dislike his policies, at least Obama figured right in that home brewed beer just tastes a lot better than that crap you can buy.

Reminds me of my son's encounter 4 years ago in a smaller rural SD town cafe, he was having lunch with several friends, and in come Hillary Clinton, along with press, staff and secret service. The subject of conceal carry firearm choice never came up that afternoon even though there were 4 of them present. Needless to say he was sweating bullets, um bad choice sorry, was very relived once the circus left and all were able to enjoy their freedom again.

Actually Magerkurth's last statement is wise. With all the efforts to kill interaction, respectful and relaxed discussions between the two political sides, it is important that he is right: "If people could just sit down and share a beer, I think the world would be a better place." It would be.

The Strib never misses an opportunity to make Obama look good and whomever his opponent is to look bad. Keep up the great journalism!

I homebrew. I'm sure Obama misses just being a regular guy. I'm also sure he can be quite charming, and while I would be respectful of our President, I would think about his "You didn't build that..." comment. Tell that to anyone who has been self-employed, as I have, for 30 years. I'm voting Romney and would auction the beer for a worthy cause.

Censorthis: I neg-ed you. While we might both vote for Romney, there is no reason to insult Obama over his interest in beer. I hate his politics and would tell him why, but I don't hate him personally and could not be mean or petty to him to his face. He will win or lose a 2nd term based on his own merits. Americans will not tolerate a President who is embarrassed by America's ideals -- he will be gone soon enough.

If obama would spend as much time on the economy as he does on his beer and goverment handouts we might not be so bad off. Go Romney!
