I wish Wal Mart the best of luck. Wal Mart has a real automotive section (not just Armorall wipes and oil with no oil filters), a real sporting goods section and sells work clothes (Dickes, Walls). They may not be local, but when you see the amount of people Target imports and jobs they export to India, Target is becoming less local as well.

Don't think Walmart doesn't do the same thing, because they do and evern more so than Target. When you are paying your people not much more than a dollar over minimum wage, many whites don't want to work at Walmart, and most of their jobs are part time to boot.

The era of the big box store is over. Shop local businesses and meet your neighbors.

Not so sure the big box saves me time. Seems I'm running all over the store looking for an item none of the help seems to know exists.

porker - I used to work at a local business. I got crap healthcare after 6 months, paid 5 cents per personal copy, 10 cents per fax, IRA after 1 year vest after 7. Local businesses may be great, if you don't work for one.

mn1, I'm with you. Anymore the only time I go into Target is for a prescription. Their automotive and outdoors depts are a joke, and if menswear shrinks anymore it will be the size of kiosk. Apparently, all Target shoppers have feet smaller than size 11. Walmart fills a real need for day-to-day items. Menards is big because they sell big items, tough to sell sheets of plywood and rolls of insulation in a small store.
