I would suggest that the teams who made it had some semblance of coaching and a defense. The Vikings are a wet paper bag waiting to happen. Hope I'm wrong, though, but the handwriting's on the wall.

Won't be Vikes with the tampa 2 defense. Come the second week and Andrew luck shreds the D and the Colts beat the Vikes the season will be over and hopefully the stint of Frasier as a head coach. His willingness to change D schemes will kill this team. Enjoy this season Les and it will be you last season.

I would say that these "turnaround" teams had good coaching. Do the Vikings?

I agree.. Tampa Two.. or as they say "a derivative" of the Tampa Two is old school football and heavy passing teams will shred that scheme all day long. Why they are holding onto that scheme is beyond me. I'm a huge Vikes fan.. am looking forward to getting someone in here that can coach and runs some real X's and O's. I might have to wait a few years.

Yes, there are teams like that. NOT this one. I understand the need for spin - but not too many will buy this spin.

The greater the build up of false hope the greater amount of bitter disappointment later. For the last 36 years they have not even come close to a championship. For 25 years even when they get lucky enough to make the playoffs they haven't won a second playoff game. viking hope is for the inexperienced.

How many teams have made the playoffs the year after two consecutive 10+ loss seasons? That is the hand the Vikings are currently playing.
