Wow.. he must be really bad at linebacker if he cannot beat out Erin. Just say'en. Our LB core is going to be a problem this year. Why the Vikings haven't looked for linebacker depth this year is beyond me.

The switch from linebacker to defensive end worked for our HOF player Chris Doleman.

Guessing Griffen could not cover a tight end, on a pass play. Still the experiment was worth it.

Joe Webb, Griffin, why do the Vikings continually think they can successfully put players in new positions. They can hardly coach them effectively in their natural positions.

Hey, how's that basketball player working out in the secondary? Area's of need are always filled with mediocre players and injuries always expose the lack of depth.

This experiment needed to end. He might be able to be a faux-Demarcus Ware-type linebacker in a 3-4 base, but it isn't in the cards for him to be a 4-3 linebacker. There has been a lot of hating on Erin Henderson. I think the jury is still out on him, but he graded as one of the best OLB in the NFL last year by one scouting group. So, it is hard for me to see him as the scrub a lot of people seem to think he is. MLB is the area of need in my mind. Brinkley either needs to make some serious strides in that role or the vikings need to hope for a veteran to be cut from another team. Maybe even call back EJ. It is not the end of the world to have him out on 3rd down. They are going to do that with Brinkley anyway.
