The best way to follow the Twins is to expect nothing as far as block busters trades signings, deals and accountability. Its just not going to happen.

Gardy actually said something funny (and true). That parking lot comment was priceless.

Hmmm plays better in the National League or maybe for a different pitching coach...just saying...

"But it was clear that he wasn't a great fit for the American League."---right, being in the AL, getting outshined by all the other all-star caliber pitchers on the Twins, that was the problem, sure.....

When somebody's ERA is over 8.00 and suddenly he's pitching a 2 hit shutout for the next team, does it not even rate a "Hmmmm--?" from the front office about Rick Anderson?

Marquis wasn't meant for the AL. Getting rid of him allowed the Twins to look at other pitchers in their system. He stunk. All fine arguments, but the team bent over backward for him when his kid was injured. Never really did read about the details of the injury, but maybe I missed it. If it was never reported, why not? So the Twins sent him to AAA for some work because he missed spring training. Before Minnesota released him, after three outings of 18 ER in 10 IP, did the Twins ask him to return to AAA for some work? Never read about that. If the Strib did report it at the time, that should be included here. If the Strib originally didn't report it, it would be a good thing to ask the Twins for content to be included in this story. If the Twins did ask him to go to Rochester or New Britain, did he decline? Never read about that. If the strib did report it at the time, that should be included here. If the Strib originally didn't report it, it would be a good thing to ask the Twins for this story. If Marquis declined, then he's the bad guy. I could have missed the Strib's version of The Jason Marquis Saga in Minnesota. If so, I guess it's my fault. But even if so, it's the Strib's fault for not including it here. If the Strib never did ask these questions, why not? They are all pertinent in helping us decide if the Twins made another flat out poor talent evaluation, or if there was more to it than that.

You know you're in trouble when you view giving 500 ABs to a .619 OPS hitter a successful move.
