Hugh McCutcheon showed his first Gophers squad enough in a failed Olympic gold medal bid to fire the team up for the fall season.

Hopefully McCutcheon can move the Gophers up to the level of the Penn State and Nebraska teams, but it takes players. Unfortunately he HAD players at the Olympics, and it still wasn't good enough, so we will see.

Who needs to be like Penn State in anything. Get it? Minnesota has many sports teams that do very well and in the near future that includes football and basketball. In order to appreciate this you have to be a gopher fan that is not in a perpetually bad mood with a glass half full -and furthermore "get a life."
