Show was incredible, venue left a lot to be desired. How could they screw up the beer situation so horribly? And by the way that sax solo on Dondante was incredible and the crowd ate it up, definitely a high point of the show. Touch me part two was equally stimulating, I guess any song over 5 minutes is too much for the reviewer to handle. Part of what makes MMJ live shows so incredible is their ability to rock long and hard. Long live Jim James

music was incredible. sound was great. quarter mile walk to bathroom sucked. beer line was an absolute disaster. Someone missed marketing 101. Beer is pure profit. It reminds me of the first Rose Bowl that wisconsin went to in 94 and they ran out of beer. I was there with almost twenty people and had a blast. I don't think any would return based on the beer lines. ONE beer stand for 5,000 people. what a joke. plust you had to first wait in line to get ID'd and than get tickets, two buy food and drink. cluster is the way I would describe it. all three bands were great. unfortunately, I missed 1/2 of band of horses, waiting in the beer line.

Great show!! I agree that the people putting on the show need to tighten it up. Why do we need coupons to buy anything? Just another line to stand in, and who likes that? MMJ were terrific! Cudos to the lighting and sound crew. They did a great job given it was a challenging outdoor venue. The other two bands were good leadins, but MMJ is obviously on another level. I can't wait to see them again after the next album and see what kind of trip they will take me on.

This was my first Somerset Ampitheater experience. I felt all the workers in the camping area and at the show were polite and helpful. The sound and light were great. I was a bit surprised at the relatively steep uphill trek to use a restroom (maybe put some Biffies behind the soundboard?). All three bands delivered from what I witnessed. I missed seeing much of Band of Horses waiting for refreshments, but I could still hear them well and they sounded good.

My first trip out to Somerset was a great one! I guess we were part of the lucky few who got to the show early (2pm) because I purchased sound-check passes. The first clue to a problematic venue was that fans for sound-check were supposed to be let in at 2:30 and no later! We didn't get in till 3:20. We still saw a great check because MMJ waited for us. The beer line disaster is a joke, so I'm quite happy that I didn't have anything to do with it! We were front row and I didn't care to budge, especially after seeing the poor masses queued up with their backs turned to the stage. As for the review, STrib got somethings correct, like Wonderful (The Way I Feel) was definitely a high-point! But as for Dondante and Touch Me, pt. 2, he couldn't have been more OFF. In no way was it a lull in the show! I guess we need someone who is able to handle a song that is longer than 5 minutes! MMJ for life.
