Advisers said he has a lot of politics left in him; a Romney win could still mean a high-level post.

I don't think Pawlenty has anything to worry about, job-wise. Unlike the rest of us peasants, Tim has gotten hooked up as a director on multiple corporate boards and they tend to pay lots of money for a few meetings every now and then. Being an ex-governor does have its perks!

Sorry Timmy. When you raise taxes on a single county to build a baseball stadium you lose credibility as a fiscal conservative.....better luck next time!

Given all of Romney's tax problems and Pawlenty's own problems in that area, I doubt Romney dared risk the blowback and negative publicity following a Pawlenty pick.

Although Pawlenty is likable enough, he registers pretty high on the milquetoast scale. His cornflakes were always soggy.

"Now what?" How about a job in the private sector?

Let's see what he says tomorrow when he appears on "Meet the Press". Should be interesting. Always the bridesmaid?!?

Superbowl? I don't see how that analogy applies. Pawlenty has never had what it takes to make it to the big game.

Gov. Pawlenty will be remembered for two things - the 35W bridge collapse and throwing away his credibility by taking away the people's right to vote on the Twins ballpark. His career thus far is a story of an ambitious dolt shoving aside the public in an ongoing attempt to impress moneyed individuals. I'm not sure why anyone would think he has a future career in politics other than perhaps another run for a state legislative seat. He was a lackluster governor with odd values who would likely have served only one term if he had run in a two-person race. It's hard to believe he was ever being seriously considered as a VP candidate since he's as uncharismatic as they come.

Pawlenty will be the GOP candidate in 2016.

Pawlenty has never had a problem finding a corporate fat cat to cover his expenses. As long as he remains willing to do or say anything for the benefit of the 1% he will be a kept boy.
